IMPORTANT: Update your location within one week of moving to ensure accurate community connections and search visibility. Change at minimum your Country and City fields. If moving countries, also consider whether your Expat/Local status should change (returning home = Local, moving to another foreign country = stays Expat). Update related profile fields like bio, "What I'm looking for", and "Moving to Country". Your location is public and searchable – this is essential for local community matching.
BEST PRACTICE: Update your location immediately upon arrival in your new city or within the first week maximum. Change Country (if international move), City/Region, and Address (if relevant for marketplace).
